Reading your AI portfolio report

What the report looked at, what it didn't, and what it isn't.

MEASURING PERFORMANCE HONESTLY4 MIN READ

The AI portfolio report is written by a large language model from a snapshot of your data: your largest 40 holdings with their values, costs, dividends and key ratios; your sector and dividend split; your health score; your goals, watchlist and targets; upcoming dividends and events; and recent news. It has no web access: for recent developments it uses only those stored news items, citing each one's source and date, and it's told to write "Insufficient data" rather than invent a number. That's its methodology.

Its limitations matter just as much. It knows nothing it wasn't given: not your cash, your other assets, your tax wrappers or your plans. Its numbers are fixed at the moment it was generated — the as-of date on the report — and the news in the app refreshes weekly. It can still get things wrong, so check anything you'd act on, and read its Recommendations section as something written from the data above, not from your circumstances. The report ends with this disclaimer, and it applies to all of it: “This report is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. Always do your own research or consult with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions. The value of investments can go down as well as up.”
