Rules you set that are checked whenever the dashboard loads: a price or yield threshold on one holding, a criteria scan across every holding (yield, price, P/E, payout, dividend cover), or a threshold on your net worth, total assets, debts, debt to assets, any asset class's value or share of your assets, or a metal's price per troy ounce.
WHY IT HELPS
Shows when something you care about has crossed a line, across everything you own, without checking each figure yourself.
HOW IT'S CALCULATED
A rule is Triggered when the figure is at or above an "Above" threshold, or at or below a "Below" one. Holding rules use the latest price and yield (a yield is a percentage, so 4 means 4%); a holding with no figure is never triggered. Criteria scans list every holding that meets the condition. Net-worth and asset-class rules read the Balance Sheet's figures for the whole portfolio, never a stock-filtered slice; a class's share is its value ÷ Total Assets × 100. Totals and shares are only checked once every asset class is valued — while a wallet, card or metal is still being priced the rule shows as waiting rather than firing on a total that leaves part out. Metal prices are the front-month futures price per troy ounce (see Metal Price) in your portfolio currency. Nothing is emailed or pushed.
