GLOSSARY ยท IN THE APP

Portfolio Split (Sector, Cost, Value)

IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Breakdowns that show how portfolio weight changes by sector, cost, and current value.

WHY IT HELPS

Reveals concentration and cost vs value drift.

HOW IT'S CALCULATED

Each slice equals category total divided by portfolio total; cost uses purchase lots and value uses latest price times shares. In a sector split, an ETF or fund is divided across the sectors it holds using the sector weights from the app's data provider, scaled to the fund's share in equities, with the rest under Bonds, Cash and Other, so a sector slice is its stocks plus every fund's slice of that sector. Investment trusts arrive with no breakdown and stay under Unknown.
