IN PLAIN ENGLISH
What you'd have left if you sold everything you track and paid off everything you owe.
FULL DEFINITION
Total assets minus total liabilities.
EXAMPLE
Total Assets of £273,000 and Total Liabilities of £181,200. Net Worth = £91,800.
HOW IT'S CALCULATED
Net Worth = Total Assets − Total Liabilities. It can be negative. Anything Total Assets leaves out (for example crypto that is still being valued) is left out here too. The Portfolio page arrives at the same figure a different way: each property counts as its equity (value minus the mortgage recorded against it), and the remaining debts are taken off the total.
