IN PLAIN ENGLISH
How much money is invested in the fund altogether. Larger funds tend to be easier to trade and less likely to be closed down.
FULL DEFINITION
The total net assets a fund manages: the value of everything it holds, across all its investors.
EXAMPLE
A fund showing 809.22B manages about 809 billion in the currency it reports in.
HOW IT'S CALCULATED
Not calculated by the app. Total assets as reported by the market data provider, shortened with K, M or B. The provider doesn't say which currency the figure is in. It is often the fund's base currency, which can differ from the currency it trades in (a global ETF bought in pounds may report in US dollars), so the app shows it without a currency sign and doesn't convert it.
